On Friday 25th November Victims’ Commissioner Baroness Helen Newlove will be visiting the HUB to talk with victim’s families of homicide, rape victims, and those who have suffered from domestic violence. Baroness Newlove will also be meeting our fifteen volunteers, our four play-workers for OLLY, as well as meeting our IT consultants, senior admin officers, and our four mini bus drivers. The Baroness will be shown around the building to see our office and victim’s lounge. Baroness Newlove will hear how important and valuable the HUB is as a one stop shop source of information for the victim’s families, while also supporting the children of the families with the children’s group OLLY. This will be a great visit to the HUB so Baroness Newlove can witness and hear how the valuable work the HUB delivered by Families Fighting for Justice is needed.
Baroness Newlove will arrive at the HUB at 10am and will be spending a few hours inside. As always, Families Fighting for Justice will be a voice not whispered, but heard out loud. The needs of the victim’s families of homicide must go way above that of the perpetrators.
